Our Story

How It All Started

It began with a simple observation: most kids' roller skates were either safe but boring, or stylish but flimsy. As a product designer and a parent, our founder knew there had to be a better way — skates that could pass the toughest safety standards without compromising on design.

After two years of prototyping, testing, and countless iterations with real kids and parents, GIMKOUNN was born. Every curve, every material choice, every color combination was intentional — designed to make children feel like they're wearing something special, while parents rest easy knowing every safety box is checked.

Our Design Philosophy

We believe that good design is invisible. A child shouldn't think about their skates — they should just feel the freedom of movement. Our adjustable sizing system means one pair grows with your child across multiple shoe sizes. Our LED wheels generate their own power, so there are no batteries to replace. Every detail serves a purpose.
